Coordinated Entry
Coordinated Entry is a coordinated, streamlined process to assist people experiencing a housing crisis return to permanent housing appropriate to their needs. Coordinated Entry provides an opportunity for communities to clearly understand how a household in their community can access permanent housing. This workshop provides details of HUD’s requirements and recommendations for Continuums of Care and service providers. Participants will have an opportunity to hear the successes and challenges from Florida communities that have an operational coordinated entry process. Key topics include:
Access, Assessment, Prioritization, and Referral
The role of Coordinated Entry in the housing crisis response system
Transparency and uniform decision making
