Rental Housing Preservation
This workshop will address At the same time there is a need for thousands of new rental units, several thousand affordable housing rental units are at risk of being lost as affordability periods expire, with a very acute need for rentals affordable to very-low and extremely-low income households Therefore, preservation is crucial to meeting the need for affordable rental housing. This workshop will explore factors and strategies for preservation, including planning for the end of affordability at the beginning, targeting properties for acquisition and rehabilitation, determining project feasibility, and both public and private funding sources.
