HOTMA Income Qualification Process The Florida Housing Coalition will offer training on income qualification and HOTMA requirements on Sunday, August 23, before its annual conference at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando. Thanks to sponsorship from Neighborhood Lending Partners, the registration fee is only $25. This training is not automatically covered by your conference registration. This 1pm to 5pm event is an intensive income compliance workshop designed for those who process or supervise applications for assistance funded by SHIP, HOME, or another program effected by the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA). One of the training courses that is most requested by housing staff, this 4-hour course introduces numerous critical eligibility activities, including income verification, determining household size, and calculation of annual income. Hands-on exercises will challenge participants to apply qualification methods to case studies and to reflect on how lessons learned may be applied to each participant’s daily housing assistance work.
